Natural Gas Burnertip Costs
Gas Delivery Costs are a Small Piece of the Budget Pie
The burnertip is the point where natural gas is used by the customer. The final natural gas cost at the customer burnertip includes the NYMEX gas commodity cost, the delivery charges on the pipeline, and the distribution cost on the local utility system. The burnertip cost also includes our operating fees, and these are typically included within your basis costs. All burnertip deals include these four elements. They may be bundled or identified separately. As you can see, the actual natural gas commodity comprises a significant share of the total. Utility delivery and pipeline charges make up most of the remainder, with EnergyUSA operating fees comprising a very small percentage.
